Bland to Bliss!

After two days in the car, I landed in the place of my visualizations - beachfront resort town, palm trees, blooming bushes, ocean waves, sandy beaches, and carefree sunny days. I realized almost immediately that I hadn’t thought past that scene. In my mind, I always see the same images when I think of visiting family in the Florida Keys. I stay in the same place, see the same sights and spend a week or so living the ultimate vacation lifestyle. It’s easy to imagine being there, simple to conjure up that feeling place, and not surprising that the whole trip unfolded exactly as I had seen it in my head first.

Now that I’m back to cold weather and my usual responsibilities, I realize that if I really want to live there permanently I have to change my visual. In other words, I’ve always imagined vacationing there, but haven’t really visualized myself working, running errands, and living day-to-day. As expected, the reality I created was the perfect vacation. It was fascinating and confidence-inspiring to effortlessly live out exactly what I had planned. Now that I’m back, I’ll create a new vision board with the pictures I gathered and begin to imagine myself living a normal life in the sun.

It’s only a matter of time.
